Findhorn squall, Scotland

I do love a dramatic sky! And my husband knows that only too well!

During a road trip of Scotland with his friend, my husband sent me his photo of this pier in Findhorn, encased in quite the moody grey squall.

Perfect inspiration for me to get the paints out. I worked quickly, using my palette knife to get the texture I wanted.

Even more pleasing was that this painting was immediately snapped up by a friend, who instantly recognised the pier which ignited some lovely memories. She and her husband used to eat fish and chips there during a posting to Findhorn whilst in the Royal Air Force.
