Happy 60th John Snr!

I’m always delighted when friends commission me to a special painting for a special occasion.

This painting was a gift for a friend’s husband, who turned 60 in November 2020. It’s a beautiful view of their favourite holiday spot in Italy, and I can understand why!

It was commissioned as a surprise, and was going complement a whole range of lovely birthday plans. However, the pandemic put paid to every plan arranged, including a trip to Ravello. So I was determined to bring a small piece of Italy to them!

I’ve since seen photos of this fully framed and in place on the wall, from the happy new owner!
